Brazilian low-cost carrier GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes has announced its entry into the European market with the confirmation of Lisbon and Paris as its first destinations. The airline has secured five Airbus A330-900neo wide-body aircraft on lease to support this expansion, with the first service between Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon set to operate four times a week starting September 16, 2026. GOL also plans to launch a nonstop service between Rio de Janeiro and New York JFK on July 8, 2026, using the A330-900neo.
