French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has announced a comprehensive €8.5 billion munitions spending plan to address urgent defense needs, with a focus on ground-based air defense, early warning systems, and drones. The initiative, part of a multiyear package, aims to accelerate munitions production in France and support the development of dual-use industries. A new platform, France Munitions, will enable bulk orders and accelerate industrial transformation. The plan was outlined during a National Assembly speech, as reported by Breaking Defense.
