Commercial Space Pioneer Unlocks Moon Data for NASA, Governments and Private Entities
Firefly Aerospace celebrated its first anniversary since landing on the Moon with Blue Ghost Mission 1. The mission sent nearly 120 gigabytes of data back to Earth, including high-resolution lunar imagery and video. This achievement marked one of the first commercial lunar data sales and laid the groundwork for future data services. Firefly plans to launch Ocula, a commercial lunar imaging and mapping service, starting late 2026.
