Finnair Signs LOI for Embraer E190-E1 and ATR-72-600 Aircraft

Finnair Expands Fleet with Regional Aircraft

Finnair has signed Letters of Intent (LOI) for the lease of two Embraer E190-E1 and two ATR-72-600 aircraft. The aircraft will be assigned to regional operator Norra, which currently operates 12 Embraer E190-E1a and 12 ATR-72-500. Finnair plans to increase Norra’s fleet to 18 jets. The airline has also signed agreements with Embraer and Pratt & Whitney for additional aircraft and engine services. This move may be part of Finnair’s strategy to grow its network and modernize its fleet, as CEO Turkka Kuusisto described it as a ‘vital step’ in the airline’s 102-year-old history. The expansion was first reported by AeroTime.
