European Commission Boosts Regional Weapons Production
The European Commission has formally approved a strategic document outlining the allocation of €1.5 billion in funding for joint defense procurement and regional weapons production. The funding will support the production of counter-drone technology, missiles, and ammunition, as well as the development of joint industry projects and defense innovation programs. The initiative aims to increase regional defense capabilities and support Ukraine’s defense industrial base, with funding open to EU members, Norway, and Ukraine.
