EDGE Group has signed a letter of intent with Ecuador’s Ministry of Defense to provide border protection systems and modernize surveillance capabilities. The agreement establishes a strategic partnership to enhance Ecuador’s defence and border security capabilities through advanced, integrated solutions. Omar Al Zaabi, commercial president of EDGE Group, noted that the firm would deploy high-performance surveillance and protection capabilities while building robust in-country expertise. Albert Vidal, research analyst for The International Institute for Strategic Studies, said EDGE has experience in homeland security and is expanding its presence in Latin America.
