Embraer’s KC-390 Millennium demonstrator has successfully completed short takeoff and landing operations at Sweden’s Vidsel Test Range, demonstrating its ability to operate in extreme cold weather conditions. The aircraft completed all planned sorties with 100% mission accomplishment, highlighting its suitability for high-latitude and dispersed basing scenarios. Sweden signed a contract for four KC-390 Millennium aircraft in October 2025, becoming the seventh NATO nation to select the type.
