Airline Partners With Amazon For Advanced Satellite Connectivity
Delta Air Lines has chosen Amazon Leo to power its future inflight Wi-Fi, starting with an initial installation on 500 aircraft. The airline will leverage Amazon’s advanced satellite technology to connect millions of passengers across hundreds of aircraft. With download speeds up to 1 Gbps and upload speeds up to 400 Mbps, the new system promises faster and more reliable connectivity. According to AeroTime, Delta’s agreement with Amazon allows the pair to build on their existing relationship and integrate various Amazon technologies to enhance the customer experience.
