British Airways has announced plans to resume daily flights between Melbourne Airport and London-Heathrow Airport starting January 11, 2027. The new service will operate via Kuala Lumpur International Airport on a four-class Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 aircraft. This marks British Airways’ return to the Australian route after 20 years, providing travelers with a new option to reach London and connect to the airline’s global network. According to AeroTime, Melbourne Airport Chief Executive Officer Lorie Argus expressed enthusiasm about the announcement, citing the importance of attracting more international services for the Victorian economy.
