European Forces Unite for Maritime Security in North Sea

Belgian defense forces, with the support of French Navy NH90 helicopters, intercepted and boarded a sanctioned oil tanker in the North Sea, bringing the vessel to Zeebrugge for seizure. The operation, dubbed Blue Intruder, was conducted within Belgium’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and aimed to enforce international maritime law.
