Cessna Chairman Leaves Lasting Legacy In General Aviation
The aviation community is mourning the loss of Russell W. ‘Russ’ Meyer Jr., the former chairman and CEO of Cessna Aircraft Company. Meyer led Cessna for nearly 30 years, overseeing the development and launch of Citation business jets and playing a key role in stabilizing the industry through the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994. He was a highly respected leader and advocate for the industry, earning numerous awards and honors, including two Collier Trophies. This announcement was made by Cessna, a part of Textron Aviation.
