US Cargo Operator Seeks Next-Generation Widebody Fleet Amid Retirement of Older Aircraft
Atlas Air Worldwide has ordered 20 Airbus A350F freighters, marking the largest order for the next-generation aircraft from a US operator. Deliveries are expected to start in 2029 and run through 2034. According to AeroTime, Atlas said the deal is part of its strategy to secure modern and fuel-efficient widebody aircraft, adding that it will broaden its offering while reinforcing its position as the world’s largest widebody freighter operator. Airbus announced the agreement on March 16, 2026.
