Agile Funding To Support Battlefield Adaptability
The US Army will consolidate budget lines for its command and control programs in the fiscal 2027 defense budget, allowing for more agile and flexible funding. According to Undersecretary Michael Obadal, this move will give the service more control over its budget and enable it to adapt more quickly to emerging needs and technologies. The Army plans to expand this consolidation into its C2 portfolio, which could include the Next Generation Command and Control initiative. The development was reported by Breaking Defense.
