2nd Cavalry Regiment Evaluates UGVs For Combat Use
The US Army’s 2nd Cavalry Regiment is testing unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) as part of the service’s xTech Edge Strike Ground competition. The regiment has been evaluating 17 UGVs for various use cases, including sustainment and logistics, medical evacuations, and breaching scenarios. The Army is looking for affordable, attritable UGVs that can be used in a variety of missions, with up to five final winners to be selected on March 13.
