Army Embarks on Bold Initiative to Enhance Data Management and Sharing
The Army is preparing to establish a new data operations center, which will serve as a clearinghouse for moving information across the world. The center will fuse data from partners to joint forces and have a global reach. The Army is working to overcome siloed data management and is contributing to the Pentagon’s CJADC2 effort. The initiative is expected to be rolled out in a few weeks, according to Lt. Gen. Jeth Rey, deputy chief of staff, G6. The Army is currently identifying personnel and talent needed for the center, which will be a key component of the service’s efforts to become a more data-centric environment.
