Major Infrastructure Project To Enhance Safety And Efficiency
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has launched a major infrastructure project to upgrade sections of taxiways A and B, used by aircraft taxiing between gates and runways. The project, divided into two phases, aims to replace ageing pavement and systems to ensure safe and efficient ground operations. The airport has scheduled the work to avoid the busy May holiday travel period, with the first phase focusing on taxiway B from March 9 to April 12, 2026, and the second phase covering taxiway A from May 4 to June 26, 2026. The upgrade will also include surrounding maintenance activities, such as routine maintenance on the Polderbaan and Zwanenburgbaan runways, as reported by AeroTime.
