Air India returned a Vancouver-bound flight to Delhi after discovering the wrong Boeing 777 variant was used for entry into Canada. According to Times of India, the aircraft departed at 11:34 local time on March 19 and landed back in Delhi at 19:19, after nearly nine hours of flying time. Air India confirmed that Flight AI185 returned due to an operational issue and provided assistance to passengers, including hotel accommodation while efforts were made to send them onward to Vancouver as quickly as possible.
