USAF Establishes Point Defense Battle Lab to Combat sUAS Threats
The US Air Force has posted two Requests for Information (RFIs) to develop counter-small unmanned aerial systems (C-sUAS) technology for base defense. The Point Defense Battle Lab, established to address this threat, is seeking input from industry on rapidly deployable systems and specific weapons technologies. The RFIs follow recent changes to Section 130i of Title 10 of the US Code, which have expanded military officials’ authority to conduct C-sUAS activities. Submissions are due by April 30.
