UK-Based Evolito To Supply Electric Propulsion Units For Valo Aircraft

Vertical Aerospace has announced a partnership with UK-based Evolito to source the electric propulsion unit for its new Valo eVTOL aircraft. Evolito, a developer of advanced axial-flux electric motors and battery management systems, will collaborate with Vertical Aerospace on the certification process with the UK Civil Aviation Authority and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency. The partnership aims to achieve certification and entry into service of the Valo aircraft by 2028. The announcement was welcomed by the UK’s Industry Minister, Chris McDonald, who highlighted the partnership’s potential to strengthen the British aerospace industry.
