HMS Prince Of Wales Leads Task Force Against Russian Aggression

The United Kingdom will deploy its Carrier Strike Group, led by HMS Prince of Wales, to the North Atlantic and High North in response to increasing Russian military activity in the region. The deployment, known as ‘Operation Firecrest’, will include Royal Navy warships, RAF fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets, and helicopters, and will exercise alongside US, Canadian, and Northern European allies. The UK’s Defense Secretary, John Healey, stated that the deployment will help make Britain ‘warfighting ready’ and strengthen its operations with key allies.
