Airline Expands Long-Haul Operations With New Twinjet
Swiss International Air Lines has taken delivery of its second brand-new Airbus A350-900, expanding its long-haul operations. The aircraft, named ‘Delémont’, is the first A350 to feature the classic SWISS livery and will enter revenue service on February 23, 2026, with its inaugural flight from Zurich to Montreal. SWISS plans to use the new twinjets on the Zurich-Boston and Zurich-Seoul routes starting from Summer 2026. The airline is currently updating its long-haul fleet and plans to refurbish its Airbus A330s throughout 2026. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
