Taiwanese Carrier Expands European Network Amid Strong Demand for Long-Haul Travel

Starlux Airlines has launched its first ever service to Europe, connecting Prage-Ruzyne (PRG) to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). The new service will start on August 1, 2026, with a thrice weekly frequency. According to AeroTime, the airline’s focus on long-haul expansion reflects strong demand for travel between Europe and Taiwan. Starlux Airlines has already established a presence in the US West Coast market, with routes connecting Taipei to San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles International (LAX) and Ontario (ONT). The airline is expected to continue expanding its international network as it takes delivery of 18 new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.
