Senate Approves Fourth Star For Marine Corps General
The US Senate has confirmed Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Francis Donovan as the new commander of US Southern Command, along with his promotion to four-star general. Donovan will take over from Acting Commander Lt. Gen. Pettus, although the exact timing of the handover is unclear.
