Saudi Arabia, Lockheed Martin Partner on Combat Vehicle-Mounted UAS Countermeasure

Lockheed Martin is partnering with ERAF to explore the development of a combat vehicle-mounted unmanned turret that can be produced in Saudi Arabia. The turret has counter-UAS and self-protection capabilities and features a modular design for mounting on different platforms. If successful, the project could enhance Saudi Arabia’s air defense capabilities and contribute to the country’s Vision 2030 initiative. Breaking Defense reports that Lockheed Martin has received formal RFIs from the Saudi land forces and plans to launch serial production if a contract is signed.
