Italian Firm Delivers Advanced MPA to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Italian aerospace firm Leonardo will supply Saudi Arabia with four C-27J Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) starting in 2029. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on February 16, 2026. According to Leonardo, the aircraft will integrate a dedicated mission suite and advanced sensors for detection and tracking of surface and submarine targets. The sale marks the first time the C-27J MPA is procured with maritime weapon system integration capability. This significant achievement confirms the strong bond between Leonardo and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
