Indonesia has successfully demonstrated its first fighter jet landings on a toll road, marking an ambitious plan to transform highway infrastructure into emergency military runways. According to AeroTime, Indonesian Air Force aircraft conducted landing and takeoff tests on the Terpeka section of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road in Lampung Province. The demonstration highlights Indonesia’s novel approach to military readiness, leveraging its extensive road network for emergency air operations.
