Aviation Accident Claims Lives of Four on Approach to Airport
Four people were killed in an Epic E1000 turboprop crash at Steamboat Springs Airport, Colorado. The aircraft departed Kansas City’s Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport and was inbound to Steamboat Springs when it struck terrain on Emerald Mountain. According to AeroTime, the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the accident. The victims’ identities have not been released. This fatal loss marks a significant incident involving one of the newest examples of the Epic E1000 in service.
