Saudi Carrier Expands Presence in Rebuilding Syrian Aviation Sector
Saudi low-cost carrier flynas has signed an agreement to establish a new airline in Syria, marking a step toward the gradual rebuilding of the country’s civil aviation sector. The new carrier, to be branded flynas Syria, will operate scheduled commercial services to destinations across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The aim is to restore and expand air connectivity to and from Syria, where international air links have remained limited following years of conflict, sanctions, and infrastructure challenges. According to flynas, commercial operations are planned to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
