Emirates SkyCargo Expands India Operations

UAE Carrier Boosts Freight Capacity Amid Growing Trade Volumes

Emirates SkyCargo is expanding its operations in India with the addition of two weekly freighter aircraft, starting in March 2026. The cargo division will launch a new weekly freighter to Mumbai and a direct weekly freighter to Ahmedabad, alongside a dedicated weekly freighter to Dhaka, Bangladesh, in April. Emirates currently operates three weekly freighters to India and reports an average weekly cargo uplift of 3,000 tonnes. The expansion comes as the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement approaches its third anniversary, with India’s exports to the UAE reaching $37.1 billion in 2024, according to the United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
