Embraer, Adani Partner for E175 Assembly in India

Indian Regional Market Expansion Through Local Production

Embraer and Adani Defence & Aerospace have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a final assembly line for the E175 regional jet in India. The agreement follows the companies’ announcement of cooperation in regional aircraft manufacture and aims to support India’s regional connectivity goals. The E175, which can seat up to 88 passengers, is seen as a good fit for the Indian market, with Embraer estimating a need for around 500 aircraft in the 80 to 146-seat range over the next two decades. The partnership is part of India’s efforts to improve regional air links, including the UDAN program, and was reported by AeroTime.
