Indonesia Abandons Plans For Up To 24 F-15EX Fighter Jets
Boeing has confirmed it is ending plans to sell its F-15EX Eagle II fighter jet to Indonesia, a deal that was initially announced in 2023 for up to 24 aircraft. Despite the State Department clearing the sale in 2022, the Indonesian government never formalized plans to procure the jets. Boeing’s decision comes as Indonesia has made other moves in the fighter jet market, including a recent deal with Turkey for 48 KAAN fifth-generation jets. The F-15EX production has recently faced challenges, including a worker strike, but Boeing is ramping up production to meet US Air Force demands.
