New Approach To Acquisition Seeks Innovative Solutions
The US Army has issued a call to industry for solutions to address its shortcomings in the electromagnetic spectrum. The service currently lacks the ability to effectively operate in the EMS, and is seeking a range of solutions from industry to address this gap. The request for information outlines four general areas for solutions: Attack, Support, Protect, and Common services. The Army is taking a new approach to acquisition, using a Characteristics of Need document to solicit feedback from industry and drive the development of innovative solutions.
