Spanish Airlines Boost Routes and Prices in Response to Rail Disruptions
Airlines in Spain have scrambled to adapt their capacity in response to several accidents and a general operational reliability crisis affecting the Spanish high-speed rail network. Flag carrier Iberia has increased its seats on southern Spain routes, while Air Europa has added more seats on the Madrid-Malaga route. Low-cost carrier Vueling is relaunching flights between Barcelona and Madrid with a price cap of €99 each way.
