Airbus Sees Slowest Start to Year for Aircraft Deliveries This Decade

Aerospace Manufacturer Experiences Supply Chain Challenges Amid High Demand

Airbus has reported its first orders and deliveries data for 2026, showing a slow start to the year after missing annual targets in 2025. The manufacturer delivered 19 commercial aircraft in January, with 15 customers receiving brand-new jets. This marks the slowest start to a year since at least 2019. According to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, supply chain issues were a major challenge in securing aircraft engines during 2024 and 2025. Despite this, the company secured 49 orders in January and plans to publish its full 2025 financial results on February 19.
