Airbus CEO Outlines Production Ramp-Up, Defense Plans

European Aerospace Leader Expands Commercial And Defense Capabilities

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury outlined the company’s plans to ramp up production in 2026, while also playing a leading role in Europe’s defense sovereignty efforts. On the commercial side, Airbus is moving ahead with the A320 family replacement, with important design choices to be made by the end of the decade. Faury also addressed the ongoing issues with Pratt & Whitney’s A220 engines, stating that the engine maker had not respected Airbus’ contractual rights.
