Singapore and Airbus Pioneer Advanced Aviation Technology

Airbus has achieved world-first certification of its Automatic Air-to-Air Refueling (A3R) system on the A330 MRTT, in collaboration with the Republic of Singapore Air Force and the Defense Science and Technology Agency. The certification was granted by the Spanish National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA), following a qualification and flight-test campaign conducted with the RSAF and DSTA. Airbus described the achievement as a ‘key milestone’ in the A330 MRTT’s platform development, marking a significant step towards fielding this capability on the RSAF’s fleet of A330 MRTTs.
