Indian Carrier Expands Long-Haul Capacity and Premium Offerings
As part of its ‘Northern Summer Schedule 2026’, Air India will deploy new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on the Mumbai-London route, featuring all-new cabin interiors and first class suites. The airline also announced the introduction of first class seating on the Delhi-Melbourne route. The changes aim to boost connectivity on select long-haul routes by adding additional capacity to services. According to AeroTime, Air India expects deliveries of three new 787-9s and two A350-1000 aircraft in 2026.
