Indian Carrier Partners With European Aviation Giant
Air India and Lufthansa have signed a strategic deal, aiming to capitalize on new growth opportunities created by the India-EU free trade agreement. The agreement establishes a framework for a future Joint Business Agreement, including subsidiaries like Air India Express and Austrian Airlines. The partners plan to expand and jointly market flight offerings, providing customers with a more connected and seamless travel experience between Europe and India. According to AeroTime, the deal was signed by Air India CEO Campbell Wilson and Lufthansa Group Chairman Carsten Spohr, who described the proposed Joint Business Agreement as a ’new chapter in aviation between India and the EU'.
