Stitching Together Disparate Sensing Capabilities For Battle Management
The Department of the Air Force is launching a series of exercises called Ringleader to learn how to stitch together disparate sensing capabilities and fuse data for battle management. The effort will utilize the DAF Battle Network and leverage sensors from the joint force and the Intelligence Community. According to Secretary Troy Meink, the Ringleader effort includes baseline funding, and reconciliation dollars may be funneled towards it as well. The Space Force’s sensor systems and satellite networks will be foundational to the success of the effort, as reported by Breaking Defense.
