Kazakhstan Flag Carrier Expands Long-Haul Operations

Air Astana has finalized an order for up to 15 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, marking the largest single aircraft purchase in the airline’s history. The deal supports Air Astana’s long-term growth strategy for operations from Central Asia, with plans to expand capacity on existing routes and open possibilities for North American destinations. The new aircraft will enable the airline to modernize its widebody fleet and reduce operating costs. According to AeroTime, the order will support more than 20,000 jobs across the United States.
