UK-Based Developer Challenges Archer And Joby In New York
Vertical Aerospace is set to launch its own electric vehicle takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft network in New York City, collaborating with Bristow Group and Skyports Infrastructure. The network aims to deliver electric air travel routes in and out of Manhattan, connecting airports with key sites. This announcement comes as Vertical prepares to showcase its full-scale Valo model aircraft to American audiences. The move is seen as a challenge to Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation, which have already announced their own eVTOL plans for New York. According to AeroTime, Vertical Aerospace is targeting UK and US certification of its eVTOL in 2028.
