US Space Force Plans New Contract for Hands-On Training

Guardian Training To Involve Electronic, Cyber, And Orbital Warfare

The US Space Force is planning to issue a new contract this summer to create a pool of qualified vendors for hands-on training in electronic, cyber, and orbital warfare. The contract is part of the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) program, which aims to develop physical/live training environments, including dedicated satellites on orbit. According to Col. Corey Clopstein, program executive officer for OTTI, the development of physical/live training capabilities and ranges is a major effort, with a gap analysis completed in December. The Space Force is also considering the use of commercial services for some training activities, as reported by Breaking Defense.
