The deployment of National Guard and active-duty Marine forces to several US cities has come at a significant cost to American taxpayers, with estimates suggesting around $496 million in the last six months of 2025. According to a letter from Congressional Budget Office Director Phillip Swagel, the cost of continued deployments could be approximately $93 million per month. The estimates were based on factors such as pay and benefits, lodging, food, and transportation for personnel. The information was revealed in response to an inquiry by Sen.
