US Announces Large-Scale Military Aid Packages to Israel and Saudi Arabia Amid Regional Tensions

The US State Department announced two large-scale military aid packages worth almost $15.7 billion for Israel and Saudi Arabia. The deals include significant orders of AH-64E Apache helicopters, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles, and PAC-3 Patriot missile interceptors. Breaking Defense reports that the announcements may be a response to growing tensions in the region, particularly with regards to Iran. Lockheed Martin is the principal contractor on the PAC-3 missiles, while Boeing and Lockheed are involved in the AH-64E Apache deal.
