Turkish Airlines A321 Forced to Land After Potential Bomb Threat Detected by Crew
A Turkish Airlines Airbus A321 made an emergency landing in Barcelona after a potential bomb threat was detected on board, according to AeroTime reports. The aircraft, operating flight TK1853 from Istanbul, landed safely at around 11:00 local time and all passengers were evacuated without incident. Spanish airport operator AENA confirmed that the airport continued to operate as normal during the event. Once the evacuation was completed, security forces proceeded to check both the aircraft and the passengers, with no explosives reportedly being found.
