First-Of-Kind Deal For Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture

The Space Development Agency has awarded Starfish Space a $52.5 million contract to provide a disposal service for its Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture satellites at the end of their life. The company’s Otter vehicle is designed to capture and deorbit satellites without requiring any prior modifications, and is planned to launch in 2027. This contract builds on previous demonstration contracts, including a $37 million Strategic Funding Increase contract and a $15 million contract with NASA.
