Space Force Taps Slingshot for AI Adversaries in Orbital Wargames

Slingshot Aerospace Wins $27 Million Contract to Modernize Space Force Training

Slingshot Aerospace has been awarded a $27 million contract to help modernize training of Space Force Guardians. The company’s TALOS AI will be used to simulate an adversary’s actions during orbital warfare scenarios, Breaking Defense reports. Trained on real-world orbital observations, the AI is meant to respond realistically and dynamically to trainees’ moves in the wargame. Slingshot CEO Tim Solms said the contract builds on a previous 39-month award worth $25 million.
