Sierra Nevada Corporation Advances Next-Gen Aerial Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Capabilities

The Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) has purchased another Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft intended for transformation into a non-prototype aircraft for the Army’s High Accuracy Detection and Exploitation System (HADES) program of record. According to Breaking Defense, this purchase signals SNC is ahead of schedule in its delivery of HADES aircraft, per a company release. The first prototype is scheduled to be delivered some time this year, as announced by Andrew Evans, director of strategy and transformation within the Army G-2. This move sets a new standard for industry partnership with the Army, according to Evans.
