The Senate has confirmed Lt. Gen. Christopher LaNeve as the Army’s next Vice Chief of Staff, replacing Gen. James Mingus. LaNeve, currently serving as Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, was nominated for the role in October. As Vice Chief, LaNeve will play a key role in shaping the Army’s modernization efforts, including the Next Generation Command and Control initiative.
