Moscow Strikes Energy Infrastructure in Retaliation for Alleged Attack
Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced the launch of its Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile as part of a massive overnight attack targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure and drone manufacturing sites. The strike was claimed to be retaliation for a Ukrainian attack on President Vladimir Putin’s residence, which Kyiv denied. Ukrainian air defenses reported shooting down or neutralizing 244 aerial targets, although 34 Russian projectiles hit 19 sites across the country. The attack was reported by AeroTime.
